Inspiring collaboration with NXTGEN Hightech at Hannover Messe 2025

Written by IBS Precision Engineering | Apr 8, 2025 1:28:59 PM

At the Messe we presented an in space sensor application in the case of a Fine Steering Mirror (FSM) for the satellite communications market. The desire for high capacity, secure, uninterrupted internet connectivity everywhere on earth, at all times has driven explosive growth in this market. For over 30 years IBS has been developing sensor solutions for demanding precision industrial environments. For the Satcom market IBS has developed sensors required to measure highly repeatable tilting motions with high resolutions and bandwidth. These may be applied for fine steering mirrors in, for example, Optical Inter-Satellite Links (OISL).

Additionally, we showcased our live spinning nanometer scale roundness measurement with capacitive sensors and an air bearing spindle. Running demos are always an eye-catcher, so again this time. We chatted with you about our  ultra precision non-contact sensor systems solutions.

Being surrounded by other Dutch tech companies made for an inspiring and strong representation of the Dutch tech industry. The engagement, questions, and feedback from our visitors and stand partners were helpful and inspire us to keep pushing the limits of precision technology. We’re excited to stay in contact and explore potential partnership opportunities!
